The world expo 2015

Feeding the planet, energy of life

Expo Milano 2015 is the Universal Exhibition that Milan, Italy, will host from May 1 to October 31, 2015. Over this six-month period, Milan will become a global showcase where more than 140 participating countries will show the best of their technology that offers a concrete answer to a vital need: being able to guarantee healthy, safe and sufficient food for everyone, while respecting the Planet and its equilibrium. In addition to the exhibitor nations, the Expo also involves international organizations, and expects to welcome over 20 million visitors to its 1.1 million square meters of exhibition area.

A platform for the exchange of ideas and shared solutions on the theme of food, stimulating each country’s creativity and promoting innovation for a sustainable future, Expo 2015 will give everyone the opportunity to find out about, and taste, the world’s best dishes, while discovering the best of the agri-food and gastronomic traditions of each of the exhibitor countries.

You might not have heard anything about it, but there’s a huge expo going on in Milano for 6 months. Check out their website for all information. There’s hundreds of events going on, hundreds of exhibitions to visit and learn from and thousands of people visiting every day. This is a chance to get to know other cultures a little bit better and to see things that you would never see anywhere else. I highly recommend going to the world expo and spending a few days there.

So, what we have observed during the expo is that this years theme is all about sustainability with focus on food. If you want to see the world expo through our camera, check out this picture post.

So the world expo is a chance for all the countries to show up their innovations, their culture and food in different ways. The whole expo is basically a marketing platform for different countries of the world to share their stories and their plans for the future.

The best way to get around and to know about all that is happening is to download the app.

There’s even an app for recipes from all around the world:

There’s a few cool projects

Going down at the world expo. One example is the WE-Women for Expo Program. It’s a project placing female culture at the heart of a Universal Exposition. One problem for example in the agricultural sector is that female farmers don’t get as many resources and tools to grow their crops. This is a big problem for everyone, because that means that less food can be produced and more people live in famine.
